My Ginza Street Experience in Tokyo "An American in Japan"

According to Wikipedia, Ginza is a district of Chūō, Tokyo, located south of Yaesu and Kyōbashi, west of Tsukiji, east of Yūrakuchō and Uchisaiwaicho, and north of Shinbashi. It is known as an upmarket area of Tokyo with many department stores, boutiques, restaurants and coffeehouses.
History: Ginza is named after the silver-coin mint established there in 1612 during the Edo period.
Modern Ginza began in 1872 when, after a devastating fire, the district was rebuilt with two- and three-story Georgian brick buildings designed by the Irish-born architect Thomas Waters, along with a shopping promenade on the street from the Shinbashi bridge to the Kyōbashi bridge in the southwestern part of Chūō. Most of these European-style buildings are gone, but some older buildings are still there, most famously the Wakō building with its clock tower.
Ginza is a popular destination on weekends, when the main north-south artery is closed to traffic. This policy began in the 1960s under Governor Ryokichi Minobe.

This is the Chanel boutique building in Ginza, Tokyo. The building is covered with LCD screens that show collectively boooootyful chanel presentations -- the screen is tilted, so you may have to tild your head accordingly =Pp

Japanese Festival 08: Ginza

This was one huge ass Festival. It's held once year during the Summer.
This video includes:

* Kendo Japanese Sword Fighting

* Ink painting
* Japanese Plants

The taiko drums have to be my Favortive part of the event, because its a group effort, and it takes a lot of focuse to keep up with everyone. And when you get it right, it sounds awesome!!!
Note: I was making it look like I was in Japan, but white people made it hard so I gave up. XD

概要：毎年恒例の東京イラストレーターズ・ソサエティ（TIS）の展覧会は、今年で14回目を迎えます。
毎年様々なテーマで開催しておりますが、今年は 「銀座」 をテーマに、約160名の作家が出品します。
百貨店、画廊、クラブ、バー、歌舞伎座、銀座ならではのにぎやかな街並みはもちろん、映画や歌、文学や人物など、銀座はいつも時代の中心でした。今の銀座、昔の銀座、わたしの銀座などなど、個性たっぷりの銀座をお楽しみいただける展覧会にしたいと思っております。会場では、各作家の作品に関するコメントも紹介し、展示作品の販売も行います。
